The First Peoples Principals of Learning has broadened my outlook on education. I have been encouraged to relate my lessons, coursework, unit plans etc. to the First Peoples Principals of Learning and it has helped me to look at things from a different, and deeper perspective. FPPL is important as it outlines the significance of patience, history, exploration and so on. All of these aspects are necessary in ensuring a strong education. The FPPL is important to me because I am still learning and navigating the incorporation of indigenous learning to my lesson plans. However, the FPPL makes it easier for me to understand and make those connections.
