The Professional Standards for BC Educators is a guide for Teachers and outlines expectations for them to follow. This document outlines 9 standards for BC educators, all of which document how to ensure an inclusive learning environment and diverse learning experience for students. These standards are set out to shape both teachers and students as it emphasizes creating a valuable learning experience for both. I strongly believe that I will be learning alongside my students when I am a teacher. Constantly adapting to their needs, interests, values and so on. I respect these standards and appreciate the guidance of them as they will ensure that I am successful in my teaching career (Professional Standards for BC Educators, 2019).
